Maybe it’s all the Saints Superbowl madness going on. Maybe it’s because I know my pal @shamrox7 is living it up in NOLA right now. Who knows. But this is the song I woke up to this morning.
Circa 1981, my mom belonged to Columbia House record club. Yes, youthful ones. I said records. (Do you remember this, @SJWestfall and @stewsma?) Mel McDaniel, The Statler Brothers, Alabama, Ronnie Milsap and Reba McEntire got a lot of airtime in my childhood home. While contemporary country music makes me cringe, hearing these classic country crooners takes me back. And I like it.
